- A Minecraft player survives an impressive 12,000 in-game days in Hardcore Mode, earning praise for their tenacity and building skills.
- The player did not use Totems of Undying, making their achievement even more remarkable.
- The player jokingly expects to die in a silly way after their 12.000-day accomplishment, highlighting the unpredictable nature of the game.
A Minecraft player made it through an astonishing 12,000 days in their Hardcore Survival world and shared the feat online. As this was achieved in the game’s toughest mode, many were understandably impressed by both the player’s tenacity and the structures they were able to build in their world.
Minecraft is known for offering virtually endless creative freedom. The game has an aptly named Creative Mode that gives players unlimited resources and removes survival elements to provide an experience focused on construction and world building. Many opt to play in Creative Mode as it is more forgiving than the standard Survival mode. Some, however, choose to play in Minecraft‘s Hardcore Mode, a more brutal version of Survival Mode that only affords the player a single life. It is not unheard of for people to survive thousands of in-game days in Hardcore Mode, but a newly shared run has made those look short in comparison.
Minecraft Player Builds the Multiverse With Ringed Planets and Wormholes
One dedicated Minecraft player creates the multiverse, which consists of several star systems, ringed planets, and wormholes.
In a recent post on the r/Minecraft subreddit, Reddit user Ant-iguess revealed that they have survived 12,000 in-game days in their Hardcore Mode world. Ant-iguess claimed that they have been playing in that world for two years. As many Minecraft players don’t last long in Hardcore Mode, Ant-iguess’ run can be considered truly incredible.
What’s even more impressive about Ant-iguess’ run is that it did not utilize the Totems of Undying item that prevents Minecraft players from being killed. Many praised Ant-iguess’ tenacity and his constructions, but others were seemingly left baffled. “I could never do this in non-hardcore, you hardcore players are a different… breed,” one person commented on Ant-iguess’ post. Photos included in the post showed the incredible megastructures and vistas Ant-iguess was able to create within that time. These included a building found in the hell-like Netherworld dimension that was made out of Obsidian, as well as massive farms for Minecraft‘s various mobs.
Ant-iguess’ 12,000-day run, however, could have an anticlimactic end as the player is now expecting to “die in the stupidest way possible.” While Ant-iguess’ statement was seemingly made as a joke, such a thing could actually happen. As an example, Minecraft streamer btecbill_’s Hardcore mode run ended accidentally after 4,317-days when he made a small mistake.
Despite offering such a harsh gameplay experience, many players who seek a challenge continue to play Hardcore Mode. Those looking to emulate Ant-iguess’ success could benefit from listening to whatever tips on surviving Minecraft‘s Hardcore Mode they and other longtime players have, which can generally be summed up as simply “don’t die.”
